Welcome to Farm School!
Take a trip to Further Up Farms in Elizabeth, Colorado with your family or homeschool group, and get a unique, educational experience. There is so much to see and learn about how food is grown!
We'll start by walking you through all of our primary growing spaces, pointing out interesting educational tidbits and answering questions; from the nerdy science of our Aquaponics System where we grow our lettuces and micro-greens, to the down-and-dirty soil of our Market Garden Field.
Then, we'll finish with a Seed Starting Activity, a demonstration students of all-ages can start right here at the farm, and finish growing (and later eating!) at home.
We are also happy to include a mini-lecture on entrepreneurship and running a small farm business if this would be applicable to your students. (This is an additional 30 min time block, and IS OPTIONAL!)
This 2.5 hr tour is designed for homeschool groups and families that want to get an authentic and educational experience of the ins and outs of better-than-organic farming.
We will end with a light refreshment and time to for questions.
