Our Team
Willy Kelley
Co-Owner | Farm Manager
Willy is our Farm Manager, which is a short way of saying that none of this would happen without him.
He spearheads our crop plans, CSA design, seed selection, and ordering. He engineers and builds out our infrastructure, and he is the daily hands in the field making sure all our crops are planted, watered, weeded, and harvested on time. He keeps us on track with daily and weekly tasks in a way that has maximised our productivity, and helped us to work smarter and not harder.
His experience as an engineer and project manager have served him very well at the farm, and he loves the daily challenge of learning and trying new things that farming always brings. He also loves interacting with our customers every week at the market--and all the kids love saying hi to Farmer Willy!
Grace Kelley
Co-Owner | Chief Veggie Enthusiast
Grace employs her extreme love and contagious excitement about what we do here at Further Up to manage all our marketing in addition to doing the *actual* farming. She manages all our Social Media, our YouTube Channel, writes our farm blogs, recipes, newsletters, and grant applications.
She loves connecting with our customers week after week at the market, and she's always happy to share garden tips, recipes, and talk about her passion for good food.
She is also extremely passionate about Food Justice, and works as our Community Liaison, connecting our farm with local organizations doing the work of increasing healthy food access for low-income families.
Allan Morton
Co-Owner | Chief Visionary & Cultivator
Allan (Grace's Dad) is one of the chief visionaries behind what we have created here at Further Up Farms.
Having grown up doing a very different kind of farming, he is a life-long student constantly learning and researching new methods for improving our soil and our processes for pest management, so that our farm can bring you the highest quality, nutrient dense, pesticide & herbicide free fruits and vegetables.
He tends many of the daily tasks here at the farm in the aquaponics, and in the field cultivating (weeding)---important, but unglamorous tasks of daily faithfulness.
Allan loves getting to know our volunteers, and mentoring anyone who will have ears to hear, with his gentle demeanor and kind heart.
Joy Morton
Co-Owner | Chief Financial Officer
Joy (Grace's Mom) is our CFO, making sure we stay in the black as a small-scale farm business, and always asking the tough questions about what is worth our time and what is not.
She also works hard outside with us as often as she can, and she loves to help by feeding us a tasty lunch and taking care of the grandkids so Grace and Willy can focus fully at the market.
Joy is the steady backbone of what we do here at Further Up Farms, and though you might not see her at the farm stand, she is the reason we get to do what we do everyday.
Jocelyn Morton
Micro-Manager | Farm Hand
Jocelyn, (Daughter-In-Law of Allan and Joy), is our "Micro-Manager", taking care of planting, harvesting, and packing up our microgreens each week.
She has also worked extensively in our pest-management strategies in our aquaponics system, and she's there every week helping us wash and pack our veggies for market.
Jocelyn is the kind of joyful and kind presence that leaves an impression, and everyone who works with her walks away just a little lighter than they were before they came.
She says she'd always wanted to work at a farm, even before she met us, so needless to say, she has fit right in and quickly become one of our most treasured co-workers here at Further Up.
Noah Morton
Farm Hand
Noah (Jocelyn's Husband, Grace's Brother) was the first to start learning about aquaponics farming, and he was a primary cheerleader for this vision that has become a reality. For years every time he and Grace spoke he'd say "So when are we starting the farm?"
His hard work and daily enthusiasm for what we are accomplishing here at Further Up is contagious, and he loves brainstorming about new directions we could grow! It's never boring with Noah around.
Every week he helps us wash, pack, and prep for market with his infectious grin and cheerful disposition. We are so lucky to have him on our team!
